6. Anna Dechant (Dipl. Soz.) studied sociology at the Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg, from where she graduated in 2008. During her course of studies she focused on empirical research methods and statistics, as well as demography.
   
   Since December 2008 she has been working as a research scientist at the Institute for Family Research at University Bamberg (ifb).
   
   Her research interests include quantitative and qualitative research methods, the divison of labour in couples, gender issues and the compatibility of work and family.
