Uwe Uhlendorff is coordinator of the FAMILYPLATFORM, and professor of social pedagogy at the Faculty of Educational Science and Sociology at the TU Dortmund. He is the main representative for the project as well as the lead participant of Work Package 6 (coordination and management).
Prof. Uhlendorff has coordinated several international cooperation projects and research networks and has supervised the international DFG Graduate Programme “Youth Welfare and Social Services in Transition”, sponsored by German Research Foundation. He is leading the pilot study “Change of Childhood and Family Images in Public Child-Rearing – Reform Processes of Social Services for Families in European Comparison”, promoted by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research.
Prof. Uhlendorff organised several international conferences in Dortmund, the Metropolitan University Tokyo, and Nara University of Education. He is a member of the “Federal Congress of Social Work” and has published 9 academic books and over 40 journal articles and book chapters. He was involved in numerous international conferences as moderator and he developed and led future scenarios.
