Sveva Magaraggia attended a Master in Women's Studies & Research Training at the University of Lancaster (UK). In 2004 she begun a Ph.D. in Applied Sociology and Research Methodology (XX cycle, University of Milan-Bicocca) and wrote a thesis on "Being Young and Becoming Parents. Changes in the Transition to Adulthood and "New Parenthood".
At the same time, she worked as junior researcher in the FPVI “UP2YOUTH – Youth Actor of Social Change”, under the scientific responsibility of professor Carmen Leccardi.
Currently she is post-doc fellow at the dept. of Sociology and Social Research, University of Milan-Bicocca. The themes that characterise her research relate to areas of Sociology of Culture, with a particular focus on Social Theory of Gender and on Youth Condition.
