Zsolt Spéder was educated as an economist at the Budapest (former Karl Marx) University of Economic Sciences, studied sociology in Germany, earned his PhD in 2001 in sociology. He is currently the director of the DRI, and participated in several international comparative projects.
His research interest is in family and fertility issues, life course studies and longitudinal panel research methods. He is consortium board member at UNECE “Generation and Gender Program’, member of the editorial board of the journal ’International Sociology’.
