The German federal ministry of family affairs, senior citizens, women and youth (BMFSFJ) was founded in 1953. It is responsible for policies relating to families, gender equality, eldery, children and youth - dealing, for example, with themes such as reconciliation of work and family life, migration and integration, role models, care arrangement for elderly people and care for children. The BMFSFJ finances projects in the mentionned fields, profides studies concerning special subjects and is responsible for several legislative acts Role within FAMILYPLATFORM: The German Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth is on the Advisory Board, which provides supervisory and consultative advice on the scientific quality and policy relevance of the FAMILYPLATFORM. Staff involved in FAMILYPLATFORM: Nina Parra works at the German Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth since 2002. She deals with subjects concerning international family affaires, migration and integration and she is responsible for the European Alliance for families within the ministry. |
