    Future of Families Report

    Final Report:

The final report of Future of Families - Foresight Report: Facets and Preconditions of Wellbeing of Families - is now available to download.

Authored by Olaf Kapella (Austrian Institute for Family Studies) and Anne-Claire de Liedekerke & Julie de Bergeyck (MMMEurope), it is the result of joint group effort of 30 stakeholders (including researchers and family experts, NGOs, and policymakers), putting forward major topics that will impact and will impact family wellbeing in 2035.

Using the Future of Families process as a tool to help propose future research questions and looming policy issues relating to families in Europe, the report highlights a number of areas of interest. These includ:

    • the importance of intergenerational solidarity and communities,
    • the importance of sufficient time for families,
    • the issue of unpaid work care arrangements,
    • and questions relating to the impact on wellbeing of children's rights and interests.
