The second stage of the FAMILYPLATFORM is a critical review of existing research on families, taking into account future demands for research and family policies in Europe.

    About

The aim is to encourage critical review of the current state of research on families from different perspectives. The objective is to point out important results and areas of research which can be tackled by future research, as well as gaps or issues that have not be considered.

Critical review focuses on two ‘dimensions’:

    1. Review of the current state of research in the 8 existential fields of family life and family policies,
    2. Assessment of the degree to which goals are being addressed in relation to the Roadmap for Equality Between Woman and Man 2006-2010, and the Renewed Social Agenda.

    Lisbon Conference

The first FAMILYPLATFORM Conference took place in Lisbon from the 25th-27th of May 2010. Photos and the agenda as well as all of the presentations and statements made during the conference are available to download.

    Final Report

Critical Review of Research on Families and Family Policies in Europe has now been published. This report concludes the work of Critical Review.
